Job Description:

~~The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce is looking for a dynamic, customer, staff and community focused individual to oversee the daily operations and management of our Health, Fitness and Aquatics facility located in beautiful Owen Sound, Ontario.

You have previous experience overseeing the daily operations and management of a multi-faceted fitness facility preferably in a YMCA setting. 

ABOUT THE POSITION:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Centre Manager is responsible for daily operations and management of the Health, Fitness and Aquatics site and additional community based program sites. This includes health, fitness and aquatics program delivery; membership sales, service and retention; human resources; promotion; and philanthropy. Develops and maintains positive community relationships. Develops and achieves approved budgets. Implements Association strategic plan goals with a major focus on membership growth, retention and program quality.  Participates as a positive member of the senior management staff team.
QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in related field or suitable combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 to 5 years progressive, results oriented, management experience, preferably in a YMCA setting
• Knowledge of health/fitness/recreation//aquatics programming
• Motivates and inspires self and others to take action to achieve desired outcomes
• Demonstrated achievement in employee/volunteer management, fiscal management, and program management
• Participation in YMCA Canada Leadership/Management Development programs and/or similar training/certifications will be an asset
• Candidates with appropriate certifications and experience in the health, fitness and aquatics industry will be given preference.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Current (issued no later than 90 days preceding start date) and satisfactory Police Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED required.
