Housekeeping Aide (2)

Job Description:

The Environmental Services department is currently accepting applications for the positions of Part Time Housekeeping Aide (2) with Gateway Haven LTC.  This position is an important part of the team that maintains a high quality of cleanliness, while providing infection, odour and pest control throughout the Home.  Weekend and shift work is required. This position will have scheduled hours on a weekly basis with additional hours for department or call in coverage. 

The successful candidate will be genuinely interested in caring for the elderly, in good physical condition (able to lift up to fifty pounds), possess good communication skills and be able to work independently when required.

Minimum Requirements / Work Experience:

This position is key to the facility ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness to promote resident-focused care. The successful candidate will be genuinely interested in caring for the elderly, in good physical condition, and be able to work independently when required. Housekeeping Aide Applicants must have: High School Diploma or equivalent Familiar with infection control guidelines 1-2 years experiencing with general housekeeping duties Experience in floor maintenance within an insitutional setting is an asset
