Manufacturing Technician

Taylor Electronic Services Inc.

Job Description:

Are you looking for a manufacturing job that takes more than just passing components down the line?

Do you want to join a small, friendly, and knowledgeable team who are genuinely invested in your success?

We’re Taylor Electronic Services and we provide custom manufacturing service to local and national clients. We pride ourselves on expert industry knowledge and the highest standards of service. We owe a lot of our success to our great staff, and we’re searching for a smart and motivated technician to join our team immediately.
Manufacturing Technician
While there will be plenty of variety in your work from day to day, most of it will fall into one of two categories:
Manufacturing – you’ll be reading schematics, assembly drawings, and other production documentation. You’ll be assembling and testing electronic cables and accessories for our customers. Working with our managers and other technicians, you’ll need to be detail-oriented, and make sure every product you make comes out working just the way it was designed to.
Service – when we’re in between manufacturing orders, you’ll be assisting our service department with repairing and refurbishing equipment. Some of this will involve remanufacturing of equipment in which you would employ your great tool skills and mechanical abilities. The more time you spend doing service work, the more you’ll learn about electronic fundamentals and troubleshooting.
Whether you are manufacturing products and accessories, or remanufacturing equipment, you are expected to assist in the maintenance of procedures and documentation. A large part of this job, that spans all activities, is the expectation that you will be proactive and communicate openly and timely with respect to procedures and processes. You will be involved with new procedure creation along with existing procedure maintenance and recommendations.
No matter what you’re doing, we need someone who can follow regulations and procedures 100% of the time. That means highest quality of work, paperwork and databases, and working safely, is always a priority.
The Right Fit
We’re looking for more than just experience, because we can teach you most of what you need to know for this job. We are looking for the right person. You’ll be a great fit here if you’re:
? Proactive – you can troubleshoot and find your own way through problems, and are always looking for something to do, and ways to contribute.
? Analytic – you are always looking for ways to improve, and you hold your work to a high standard. If there is a better way of doing something, odds are you’ll find it in no time.
? Vocal – when you find those better ways, you’re not afraid to speak up and make suggestions to the team…..This is IMPERATIVE!
? Precise – you’re meticulous. Nothing gets by you. Everything you do is double-checked and correct.
You’ll find lots of opportunities to grow here. We want someone with ambition, who is eager to take on new tasks, challenge themselves, and improve. As time goes on, your impact will grow and your role will grow with you.
Working @ TES
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. You’ll rarely work overtime and we’re flexible about time off when you need it. We offer benefits and a wage that starts at $18.00 to $19.00 per hour to start depending on experience.
We love the environment that we’ve cultivated here. Our management team is always open to suggestions, and likes to do everything they can to make things easier for our technicians. Our employees are all experts and professionals, but that doesn’t stop them from having a good time at work. We have fun together outside of work, planning occasional outings or dinners together.
We’re looking to fill this role right away, so if you’ve got an interest in electronics, mechanical abilities, and are experienced in soldering, we’d love to hear from you.
? Experience in manufacturing/production
? Experience/aptitude/familiarity with simple electronics/electrical design
? Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly drawings
? Experience with soldering of electronic components and light gauge wire is required
? Strong computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel for production management, and Word for developing and maintaining procedures)
? Relevant College diploma is required
