Accounting Assistant

Job Description:

The Agency is currently recruiting for an Accounting Assistant for our client located in Hanover, ON. Reporting to the Controller, you will support a variety of accounting and administrative functions.

Position Type: Full-time, contract (estimated 7 month contract)

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage payables and receivables
  • Assist with the preparation of reports as required
  • Assist with preparation of year ends
  • Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:

  • OSSD & Post-Secondary Education preferred in Accounting, Business etc.
  • Able to operate computer efficiently with knowledge of Word, Excel and Accounting programs
  • Excellent communication skills with management and staff
