Apprentice in training

Pathways to Apprenticeship

Date: Available anytime
Location: Online (self study)
Cost: Free

The demand for trades workers continues to climb as almost half of the workforce will be eligible to retire in the next few years. This course will explain what an apprenticeship is, what you need to become an apprentice, education requirements and provide an overview of some of the most common trades.

Skilled trades present a lot of exciting opportunities to grow and advance in a field where you have an opportunity to “earn while you learn” as you build your skills and work towards becoming a journeyperson.

This Employment Ontario service is funded in part by the Government of Ontario and the Government of Canada.
