Community Justice Worker

Responsibilities:
- Deliver alternative justice services to youth and/or adults referred to the program(s) from across Grey & Bruce
- Develop and facilitate workshops to youth and adults
- Match, place and monitor clients required to complete community service with non- profit community organizations
- Liaise with other justice sector agencies and community partners
- Respond professionally to challenging situations
- Conduct outreach to local organizations, stakeholders and community groups
- Utilize technology to provide services virtually
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Social Services or related discipline plus related experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating content and delivering workshops
- Demonstrated knowledge of alternative justice and the justice system
- Excellent communication / organization skills, comfortable with public speaking
- Detail oriented with high expectations ensuring quality service provision and documentation
- Works independently with minimal supervision and is disciplined in setting priorities and outcomes
- Minimum Class G Driver’s License; able to travel throughout Grey and Bruce Counties; must have own vehicle
- Successful candidates age eighteen (18) and older will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Police Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued no later than 90 days preceding start date.
