Job Description:

Start Date: April 2021

What We’re Looking For: We are looking for an individual who brings energy and compassion to their everyday work. What We offer: This position is an integral part of our workforce development project. In addition to working with amazing coworkers you will be part of an organization that gives back to the community. This position is full-time contract at 35 hours per week. We offer competitive wages as well as membership to our fabulous Health, Fitness and Aquatics facility.

Responsibilities:

• Commitment to excellent customer service while demonstrating YMCA Mission, Vision and Values when interacting with others
• Coordinate key office functions in a busy office environment
• Provide support to individuals using the employment services, including job search tips, labour market information, resume writing, and interview techniques
• Operate and troubleshoot phone and other equipment
• Collect, input and report data using online data base and Microsoft Excel
• Create calendars, fillable forms and other program related documents

Qualifications:

• Minimum Post-secondary degree/diploma in related discipline plus related experience in office environment
• Strong computer skills, experienced in Microsoft applications with advanced skills in Word and Excel. Experience with online learning platforms, Zoom, Teams and Adobe an asset
• Excellent communication / organization skills
• Ability to work with constant interruptions
• Excellent customer service, relationship building and teamwork
• Seeks and finds solutions to problems without waiting for direction
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Police Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued no later than 90 days preceding start date.
