SPI Plastics Inc. (“SPI”), located in Shallow Lake, is currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, and dedicated individual to join their team as a n Assembly Operator. Selected candidates will be required to manufacture and produce a wide variety of plastic products. Day shift only Monday to Friday. No nights or weekends!

About The Role

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Select and set up all the necessary tools and equipment including but not limited to jig saw, skill saw, drill, impact, routers, and a torch to flame the product, staple guns and riveting machines
  • Perform preparations for assembly of products by cleaning and inspecting the parts to be assembled according to quality specifications on sales order, blueprints, packing slips verbal

instructions and other forms of instructions, to assure that the assembly job will be completed to meet customer and delivery standards

  • Operate equipment and machines accordingly to specific operational and safety instructions
  • Assemble raw products into finish goods by performing various operations including, material

moving and stocking, cutting, drilling, bolting product together, cutting chain, burning rope,

riveting brackets with machine and hand routers, packing, following the production plan, sales

order, blueprints, packing slips verbal instructions and other forms of instructions to meet

customer specifications and delivery expectations

  • Full Training Provided
  • Ability to Work in a Warm Environment
  • Physically Capable to Perform Required Tasks – able to lift 70lbs

Minimum Requirements / Work Experience:

Ability to read, write and comprehend for purpose of communicating safety instructions and work directions; perform simple math calculations, including performing measurements with measuring tape, reading manufacturing paperwork such as drawings, diagrams, shop documents and record information as necessary on forms provided. You may be a great fit for this position if you have previous experience in manufacturing, Assembly, production, construction, general labour, machine operation or warehouse work.
