Job Description:

Field Analyst

We’re looking for a Field Analyst for our Harold Sutherland Construction site.

The purpose of this position is to ensure that delivery of materials is completed as required by dispatch in a safe and efficient manner. Your work means we ship a high-quality product every time, and is essential to our and our customers’ success. 


 Major (Primary) Responsibilities:


  1. Track materials, equipment and labour to perform various construction tasks at various construction projects.
  2. On site tracking of labour, equipment and material quantities on a daily basis. 
  3. Assemble daily information into weekly and monthly progress reporting to the Operations Manager.
  4. Assist in updating construction schedules bi-weekly, utilizing to Operation Manager.



Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required



This position requires a demonstrated degree of initiative and judgment in order to organize, prioritize and coordinate daily tasks. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues in every day working relationships.


  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details, makes sure work is done correctly and thoroughly.  Keeps accurate records.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and environment regulations and legislation.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required.
  • Proficient communication skills, both oral and written to disseminate information with clarity, in one on one, or group situations.


Education & Job Knowledge: 

  • Minimum high school diploma with preference to individuals currently enrolled in secondary Construction/Civil technician program.
  • Math skills,
  • Computer skills in both Microsoft Word and Excel programs.


Experience:  Previous roadway construction experience would be an asset.
