Job Description:

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The receiving coordinator will receive, inspect, record, and maintain inventory of all goods required for Wiarton to run efficiently. 

 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Review requisition order forms for accuracy and verify that parts and supplies are required as per inventory count and relay details to purchasing
  • Monitor inventory levels as parts and supplies are issued and transferred within the company using the computerized inventory system—notify purchasing ASAP if there are any inconsistencies
  • Compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of parts and supplies on hand, using the computerized inventory system
  • Prepare requisition forms to replenish parts and supplies
  • Enter work orders and adjust inventory accordingly
  • Maintain stock rotation and dispose of and account for outdated stock
  • Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies ensuring all packing slips are sorted and submitted to accounting daily
  • Create new part numbers as needed, remove duplicate descriptions and make sure all parts are clearly labelled 
  • Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage
  • Maintain organization inside and around receiving area for safety & ease of access 
  • Go to town for parts as required
  • Processing paperwork for trucking
  • Doing Heat readings as required

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office is required 
  • Exceptional ability to work with a team, and independently
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Time management 
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations+
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted 

 

 

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  

  • Must have valid license with a clean driving abstract to ensure ability to drive the company vehicle
  • Warehouse experience or experience with preventative maintenance scheduling an asset.   •            Experience with data entry and working knowledge of inventory software preferred
