Meghan Calhoun, Team Canada Para Swimmer

OSAC’s Meghan Calhoun to Swim for Team Canada at World Para Swimming World Series

Congratulations and best wishes to Owen Sound Aquatics Club’s (OSAC) Meghan Calhoun who has been selected to join a small Team Canada 🇨🇦 contingent heading to Berlin, Germany on June 11 for the last stop on this season’s World Para Swimming World Series taking place June 17-20.

Meghan’s primary purpose for the trip is her International Classification process – which if successful – will give her future access and opportunities to International Team selections representing Team Canada. She will swim the 200bk and 100br on Day 1 of the competition and return immediately due to Covid protocols; unfortunately, bypassing her signature event the 100 butterfly.

The season finale in the German capital has already become a World Series tradition being part of the competition calendar since the inaugural season in 2017. The swimming pool at the Schwimm-und Sprunghalle in the Europasportpark (SSE) is considered one of the fastest in the world.

It has been exciting to watch Megan train at our Y pool! We are so proud of you, GO MEGHAN GO! 🙌
