Nia (Special Class Offering)
Mondays 6-7 PM, March 4 - April 15
Member: FREE | Public: Day Pass
Nia combines martial arts, modern dance arts and yoga in a workout set to music. The technique is a mind/body physical conditioning program that  initially stood for Non-Impact Aerobics, a health and fitness alternative that emerged in the ‘80’s, and evolved to include neurological integrative  practices and teachings. Join instructor Esther for this special class running until April 15!! No registration required.

Aquatic Boot Camp
Tuesday, March 12, 7 – 7:45 PM
Member: $10 | Public: $15

Join Greg in the Lane Pool for a special edition class in support of our assisted membership program! You've tried boot camp on land: we challenge you to test yourself against the water's resistance in this one of a kind class. All fitness and swimming levels are welcome, goggles optional. This event is limited to 20 participants so register today to avoid missing out.  Want to help out with our fundraising campaign but can't come to the class?  Donate here. 

Member Challenge BINGO!
We invite you to take part in our Member Challenge BINGO! Get a BINGO card from our Welcome Desk or Fitness Desk, complete the activities, ask a Y staff member to mark your card and try to get as many as you can! For every activity you complete, your name will be entered into a draw to win some YMCA Swag! BINGO cards must be handed in by February 23rd, 2019 at 7:30 PM.

Kids Safety Workshops
Free for Members | Public: Day Pass
Join us the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 4:15 PM to learn about various safety related topics for kids! Age groups are specified based on topic. Next workshop takes place in April, stay tuned for more details!

Swim Stroke Correction Workshop
Free for Members | Public: Day Pass
The 1st Monday of Every Month, 6:30 PM, our Instructors will help you improve and refine your technique. Tell our Instructor which stroke you’d like to work on and he or she will evaluate your stroke, give you tips and use drills to help you improve. Must be in ‘Swimmer’ level and up. Suitable for children taking swim lessons who could benefit from additional practice, or anyone wanting to become a more efficient swimmer. All ages welcome!

Partner Days

Every few months residents of Owen Sound and Georgian Bluffs enjoy free access to the YMCA Health, Fitness & Aquatics facility in thanks for the community's help developing our amazing building. Enjoy a swim, try one of the regularly scheduled fitness classes, play in the gym with your family and more - all for free. Next Partner Day: Sunday, May 26, 2019

YMCA Peace Week: 2019 TBA

The Y is dedicated to building healthy communities - and peace is fundamental to strong, happy and healthy communities.  During Peace Week, YMCAs across the country promote ways we can build peace, and highlight the peace-building work that happens all year round, both inside and outside the YMCA.  The YMCA Peace Medal is awarded to people from coast to coast who have been engaged in work promoting peace in their communities. At our YMCA the Medal is awarded in a ceremony during Peace Week. 


YMCA Healthy Kids Day:  Sunday, April 28, 2019

Come to the Y and celebrate our national day dedicated to improving the health and well-being of kids. It’s a FREE event for everyone in the community.
