Tom Rice and Sonya Mount Honoured with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for Exceptional Community Leadership
A memorable and heartfelt ceremony took place Monday, March 31 at the YMCA Health, Fitness & Aquatics facility in Owen Sound, where Tom Rice and Sonya Mount were presented with the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal. This distinguished honour was awarded in recognition of their exceptional leadership and contributions to the community, particularly as co-chairs of the YMCA’s Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre Capital Campaign.
YMCA Seeks $32,000 to Reach $100,000 Goal for Strong Communities Fund by March 31, 2025
The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce is calling on the community to help raise $32,000 by March 31, 2025, to reach its $100,000 goal for their Strong Communities Fund. This critical funding will ensure that individuals and families in need have access to life-changing YMCA programs through the YMCA’s financial assistance program.

The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce is pleased to announce the receipt of a generous $16,500 donation from Bruce Power in support of its Homelessness Response programming. This donation will provide vital assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or precarious housing in Bruce County.
