Job Description
The Outdoor Adventurers Camp Manager position is full time (35 hours/week on average) commencing on or around May 5th, 2025 and finishing on or around August 29th, 2025.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Outdoor Adventurers Camp Manager
The successful candidate will assist with programming at the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre for the months of May and June, while planning the programming to take place in the summer. The camp manager will take over the administration functions of the camp from the BEF Development Manager; this includes confirming camp trips and activities, communicating with parents, ensuring all registration information is complete, and more.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of the Outdoor Adventurers Day Camp program. The successful candidate will be in a supervisory role over three camp counsellors, with support from senior BEF staff.
Pending available time, resources, and programming, the successful candidate may also assist with projects or delivery of public programming that will take place at the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre during their term of employment. This could include guiding activities for guests renting the property, assisting guests at astronomy evenings, or helping to clear and mark new or overgrown trails on the property.
This position may include some overnights, weekends, and evenings. Overtime will be accumulated over the course of the summer, and paid out at time x 1.5 after the end of the work term.
