Our client, a law firm located in Owen Sound, ON, is currently looking for an experienced Full-Time Bookkeeper with knowledge or a willingness to learn how to prepare estate and corporate paperwork. Focused on providing a high level of customer service and professionalism, the successful candidate must have a pristine eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.

About The Role

  • Opening Files in Legal Practice Software – Maintain Proper Accounting Records & Client Ledgers
  • Managing Bank Reconciliations (Trust & General), AR & AP with Superb Attention to Detail
  • Assisting with Office-Related Reports & Filing, Including Regulatory Obligations with Law Society of Ontario
  • Communicating Daily with Clients & Third Parties
  • Preparing & Manage Probate Application
  • Administering Simple & Complex Estates
  • Reviewing & Prepare Estate Accounts
  • Preparing Court Documents in Support of Estates Matters
  • Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney & Estate Planning
  • Preparing Documents for Corporate Minute Book
  • Other Related Duties as Required

Qualifications

  • 5 + Years’ Experience in Bookkeeping
  • Experience Working in Law Firm Considered an Asset
  • Knowledge of PC Law Considered an Asset
  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
  • Demonstrate High Level of Professionalism, Confidentiality & Discretion
  • Highly Organized & Able to Prioritize Workload
  • Proficient with Computers, Particularly Microsoft Office & QuickBooks
  • Client-Centric Focused with Excellent Attention to Detail
  • Strong Team Player with Ability to Self-Motivate
  • Ability to Multi-Task & Handle Fast-Paced Work Environment

You may be a great fit for this position if you have previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, Law Clerk, Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or Law Firm Administrator.
