Local high school located in Owen Sound, ON is looking for a Part-Time Hall Monitor to join their team the remainder of the school year. This is a great position for someone with strong experience working with students, supervising youth, or coaching a team sport. 3-hour daily shifts from Monday to Friday with wage starting at $20.27 per hour.

About The Role
The Hall Monitor position requires the daily monitoring of student activities for the duration of the school year. The selected candidate could perform both indoor and outdoor lunchtime monitoring, as well as the possibility of assisting in the library as required. Contract renewals occur on an annual basis based on previous year’s performance, but for the right individual, this could be an ongoing role. Other tasks may include:
- Monitoring Student Behavior in Hallways, Common Areas, & Potentially During Testing
- Helping Maintain Order & Reporting/Removing Students Whose Behavior is Disruptive
- Ensuring Students Follow School Policies & Procedures.
- Assisting in the Creation of a Safe & Orderly Environment for Students
- Notifying Appropriate Staff Regarding Safety Concerns or Rule Violations
- Other Tasks as Assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Previous Experience Working with Youth in a Leadership or Coaching Capacity
- Strong Presence with Calm Demeanor Under Pressure
- Strong Interpersonal Skills & Communication Skills
- First Aid & CPR Certification Considered an Asset
- Ability to Pass a Background & Vulnerable Sector Check
