Our client, Durham Furniture, is looking for a General Labourer to assist as a Packer & Trimmer at their production facility located in the Town of Durham, ON. The role is estimated to run until approximately the end of October but could be a long-term fit for the right candidate. Weekdays only (Monday to Thursday) with Fridays off and no weekends required. Wage starts at $18.63 per hour.

About The Role?
Workers will assist the production team with the packing and trimming of various manufactured furniture and mirrored products for the production facility. Products can weigh in ranges between 30 lbs. – 325 lbs, with mechanized hooks and team lifts utilized for heavier materials. Tasks required include:
- Lifting/Sliding Furniture Pieces in Order to Wrap & Seal Products
- Flipping & Handling Materials to Inspect Quality
- Standing for Long Periods of Time
- Using Team & Hook Lifts for Materials Above 325 Lbs.
- Indoor Environment with Some Exposure to Outdoors
- Pushing Loaded Carts or Skids with Pump Truck
- Using Small Hand Tools (e.g. Orbital Sander) to Smooth Product Edges
- Other Tasks as Assigned
What Is Required?
- Able to Perform Range of Repetitive Motions (Bending, Twisting, Etc.)
- Handle Weight Up to 50 lbs. Individually
- Handle Team Lifts Upwards of 325 lbs.
- Able to Stand for Extended Periods
- CSA Approved Footwear Required (All Other PPE Provided)
- Ability to Work Outdoors for Short Periods
